This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of welding fasteners to galvannealed coated cold rolled mild and dual phase (DP 980) steel and aluminum silicon coated hot stamped boron steel, compare performances with the above mentioned steels, and develop weld matrices for specific stud/nut to sheet material combinations.
