Repairability of AHSS
Repairability of Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS) is a continuation of two earlier phases of an Auto/Steel Partnership project which sought to develop repair and serviceability technologies for various grades of AHSS having tensile strengths greater than 780 MPa. Phase 3 of the project has developed automotive repair guidelines for Martensite UHSS grades having tensile strengths between 1500 MPa and 1700 MPa.
Focal Projects & Priorities
A 3rd Gen AHSS repairability study is currently underway. To see publicly-released project information, check the Great Designs in Steel presentations for 2022, 2023, links at right. An additional project report will be available in the 2024 Great Designs in Steel presentation offerings after that event takes place in May.
